It combines a transparent ink reservoir, colorful anodized aluminum details, a built-in piston filling system, and a German-made JoWo #6 nib in a modern everyday fountain pen.
The MP1 is designed for bottled fountain pen ink. It does not use cartridges or a converter. The grip section and transparent barrel are made as one continuous assembly, so the front section should not be unscrewed.

The MP1 uses Monteverde USA’s Lock-It Piston Technology to help keep the piston knob secure between fillings. This helps reduce accidental twisting when the pen is being carried, stored, or used.
